(Laetiporus sulphureus) that Jason collected. They really are meaty and delicious.
This is a very good tomato. Slightly bigger than Black Cherry and more green on its shoulders/smaller than Nyagous, I am not sure what variety it is. I do not think it is one of the 100 varieties we grow at Garden Dreams. If you know who this tomato is, please let me know!
This is the result of my popcorn experiment. It's not much but boy am I proud of it. The variety is Pennsylvania Butter Dutch a pre-1885 heirloom maintained by the Pennsylvania Dutch and sold by Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. I grew it with pole beans at the base of the stalks and eventually the pole beans won, pulling down the stalks. I was able to get some ears off though, shuck them, and dry them in netted bags for a few weeks. Tonight, popcorn and a movie!
